Bernadette (born Bernadette lazzara(born February 28, 1948) Peters is a popular American musician, singer and the author of children's books of Ozone Park Queens New York. Her long career spanning 5 decades. She's performed at concerts, recorded solo albums and appeared on television. She's among the most highly praised Broadway artists, receiving nominations in seven Tony Awards, winning two and eight Drama Desk Awards winning three. Grammy Awards were won for four Broadway album of casts in which she performed. Peters began her acting career performing on stage during the 1960s when she was an teen, then later during the 1970s she appeared on television as well as film. This early work, her appearances on The Muppet Show The Carol Burnett Show as well as different television productions and characters in films like Silent Movie The Jerk Pennies from Heaven received a lot of praise. In the 80s, her return to the stage saw her become one of Broadway's best known performers for more than three decades. Peters has also recorded seven solo albums, and a number of singles, as well as several cast albums. In addition, she frequently performs in her own solo show.
